Neptune/Actaris Type
S Flowmeters
Sizes 1-1/2" and 2"
The 1-1/2" & 2" Type S flowmeters utilize
the nutating disc principle positive displacement measuring
chamber technology. This design results in an extremely
accurate meter which is insensitive to small changes
in viscosity and flow profile disturbances. Each meter
includes the base meter unit which houses and protects
the measuring chamber and the gear train, with available
units of measure of liters, kilograms US gallons and
pounds. Registers provide reset of delivery and totalization
and a wide variety of digital pulse and analog transmitters
permit remote operation and monitoring.
The Neptune design nutating disc measuring chamber is
both accurate (100% + or - 1.0%) and dependable, with
repeatability of 100% + of - 0.1%. For specific flow
ranges, with reduced variables, accuracy's of 100"
+ 0.5% are easily obtained. The double case construction
reduces the effect of higher pressure losses in measuring
viscous liquids. In addition, the disc design can accurately
measure liquids with solid particles (up to .22mm/.009")
without major damage or erosion to the measuring element
for intermittent operations.
The rugged bronze outer body components are compatible
with hundreds of nonacidic liquids. Flanged end connections
allow rapid conversion from right to left hand flow.
Pulse transmitters, coupled with the BATCHMATE (electronic
batch control) and a locally acquired solenoid valve,
result in an economical and dependable local or remote
batching system.
Rugged construction assures a simple and economical
system proven through more than 100 years of manufacturing
experience. The nutating disc design offers low pressure
differential and double case construction, resulting
in an exceptional ability to measure a wide variety
of mild corrosive and erosive liquids.
The Type S flowmeters do not require elaborate timing
gears or difficult adjustment procedures to insure proper
function of the measuring element. Replacement of a
worn or damaged measuring chamber, gear train or register
is a quick and easy process.
Time proven positive adjustment by means of patented
Neptune calibration (change) gears allows changes in
increments as small as 0.15% and reduces errors caused
by vibration and tampering. |
