Blackmer's new Hydrive is a fully integrated hydraulic
drive system that is designed for use with transfer
pumps and other types of rotating equipment.
The Hydrive is a compact, lightweight unit that
combines advanced design technology and state-of-the-art
components to give maximum performance with minimum
maintenance.
Hydrive offers real operating advantages
- Fuel savings with lower idle speeds
- Maximum cargo pump life with slow start-up and
overspeed control. Transfer pumps can be mounted
closer to the tank outlet, which eliminates cavitation
for improved pump life.
- Quiet operation with lower engine rpm's.
- Easy inspection and maintenance with convenient
cargo pump location.
- Variable unloading positions. Hydrive eliminates
long drive lines.
- Reduced spillage risk with permanently connected
suction piping to trailer mounted pumps.

- Built-in access locations for remote or automated
operation.

Lightweight -
only 48 lbs. (22 kgs.), allows greater payload
versus existing units that weigh 90 lbs. (40 kgs.)
or more.
- Compact Construction - combined
with light weight, one person can handle installation
in a variety of locations.
- On/Off Valve - standard on all
Hydrive units, provides slow start-up and easy access.
- Pilot Operated Relief Valve - bypasses
system flow if control valve is open. Adjustable from
600 to 4500 psi (4136 to 31,000 kPa).
- Large Outlet Connection - 1-1/2
inch NPT connection from cooler to hydraulic pump
minimizes potentially damaging effects of cavitation.
- Independent Bearing Housing - absorbs
radial thrust loads for optimum fan life and efficiency.
- Centrifugal Fan - special design
creates high radial air pressure for sustained cooling.
- Tank Top Return Filter - has built-in
bypass and offers easy replacement without draining
oil from the reservoir.
- Suction Filter - provides continuous
filtered oil for optimum system protection.
