Hannay Aviation Series 4 Hose Reels

These reels are designed to handle 4" ID hose in airport hydrant fueling operations. The models listed will handle the most frequently used hose lengths and will meet size requirements for most vehicles. Reels can be custom built, at extra cost, to meet the most exacting requirements.

Rewind
Choose gear-driven crank rewind or chain and sprocket drive powered by electric, compressed air, or hydraulic motor. Ring gear/bevel gear mechanism with pinion shaft brake can be specified, at extra cost, as an auxiliary rewind mechanism on power rewind reels.

Brakes and Locks
In most installations, a nozzle interlock device secures the hose and eliminates the need for a positive lock. A positive pin lock can be supplied, at extra cost. Reduction of rewind speed is provided by the chain clutch reduction unit.

Inlet
Standard inlet is a 4" female IPT 90 degree ball bearing swivel joint. Straight swivel joints and victaulic groove inlet may be specified at no extra cost.

Outlet Riser
4" ID female thread flanged riser. Specify hose size when ordering. Standard inlet, outlet riser, and hub assembly are malleable iron and steel. These components can be supplied, at extra cost, in stainless steel and other alloys to meet special fuel handlin requirements. Special packing materials for swivel joints are also available.

Optional Roller
Stainless steel rollers can be factory installed in various combinations and configurations on the reel frame to make hose handling and rewinding easier. Rollers are installed at extra cost and location of rollers must be specified on your order. Rollers may also be purchased as accessory items. Standard operating pressure is 150 psi. If not otherwise specified, reels will be shipped as top-wind with inlet, outlet riser, and rewind mechanism on operator's right.
