Hannay Aviation Series 3 Hose Reels

This model is ideal for large diameter hose for aircraft refueling.

Rewind
Choose gear-driven crank rewind or chain and sprocket drive powered by electric, compressed air, or hydraulic motor. Ring gear/bevel gear mechanism with pinion shaft brake can be specified, at extra cost, as an auxiliary rewind mechanism on power rewind reels.

Brakes and Locks
Please specify the type of brake or locking device you prefer. If not otherwise specified, crank rewind reels will be supplied with a pinion brake and power rewind reels with a friction brake.

Inlet
Standard inlet is a 3" female IPT 90 degree ball bearing swivel joint. Straight swivel joint may be specified at no extra cost. Both straight and 90 degree joints are available with victaulic grooves on request.

Outlet Riser
On models with 15-1/2" drum, outlet is 2-1/2" female IPT removalbe riser. On all other models, removable riser is 3" IPT. Specify hose size when ordering. Standard swivel joint, hub assembly, and outlet riser are malleable iron and steel. Aluminum, stainless steel, bronze, and other nonferrous metals can be supplied for each of these components, at extra cost, when specified. Special packing materials for swivel joints are also available. Note: If not otherwise specified, reels will be shipped as top-wind with inlet, outlet riser, and rewind mechanism on operator's right.

Optional Roller
A factory-installed, stainless steel roller can be specified, at extra cost, for bottom-wind reels. Rollers may also be purchased as accessory items.

Chain Reduction Units
Available at extra cost and recommended for use on reels with 39" diameter or larger discs and/or when increased torque and slower rewind speeds are required. Factory-installed when specified or available as an accessory item for field installation.
